but only as the groom!! that's scary enough:eek: I went to Windsor on Saturday and we just did the dressage and cones, this Sunday we have our yard event and we're doing the obstacles as well, first time i've ever done them and wow was it fast but great fun:D we're then off to Windsor again to do the whole competition, I think I could easily get the bug!! although not with the dressage it's too slow:rolleyes:

Will you take some pictures for us?? Have a great time. What do you do as the groom? Do you go in the carriage?

Yup the groom stands/sits on the back. I've done quite a bit as a groom but we've not done anything yet this year. We might be going to Windsor the weekend after next i think. I have a few driving piccies somewhere!

Haha you think yours isnt up to it... the one we drive has been in the carriage once in about 9 months! He's not been in much work either so is very unfit! Don't know if we're going or not but i'll let you know if we do :D
You got any piccies of what the horse you drive so i can look out for you?

sorry I missed your thread before hand..I would of wish you good luck!
Glad you enjoyed it!! I think the marathon/obsticles are a pure adrenalin rush when you launch out of them and onwards to the next!! yeeeee haaaaa !!
I remember the first time I groomed, I couldnt believe the power!.. to be sat in the driving seat is even more amazing. The ponys loved it ears forward charging about, they were so fit. One of them was actually 23 years old to! :D and that was at national level what a superstar.
I would love to get back into competing at driving... not a cheap hobby tho!!
But maybe one day.. Would love to have kai as single horse to have him from unbroken to reach a competition is dream ... Not sure the lazy so and so would be so enthusastic!! haha
All the best in your future comps... xx
