A livery yard directory on the main site

Many people on here (probably most) have their own horses. The riding school directory is really good, but could we have a livery yard one too? Just name, nearest town/village and a phone no. would be good. People could submit ones they know for you to put on there and it would help people moving to new areas/looking for a new yard in their own area.

I read a post from a girl that had her new trailer dragged round the yard by the owner with the wheel locks still in place!

This would be a fab idea as Im currently looking for livery.
I've tried the ones listed in yellow pages, and a few on google, but not all of them need to advertise.. and if you dont know how you are looking for, it makes life a bit harder.

So yes... Im in favour of this one.

id be careful with 'YOs from hell' and stuff because that could potentially be libellous and one person's dream YO is another's YO 'from hell'

It's only got riding schools, though some offer livery of course. It would be good to have somewhere to put all the hundreds of livery yards that aren't riding schools as well. :)

as a yo ive just had a problem livery.whos posted a vast amount of lies on here about my yard . ive allways tried to be very approachable to all who are on my yard .even when this person left and then asked to come back ,i kept a stable open for them.the problem came when they didnt like another 2 girls on my yard and tried to make there stay here very difficult.to the point where they lied about one of the girls stealing,which i now know is not true.

Seriously - I don't think anyone other than the YO/RS owner should be posting that sort of info, and if they want to advertise they can.

Most seem to go by word of mouth anyway, and I know several people have found yards just by posting on NR that they were looking.... me included!
