What colour jodphurs should I buy? Last years beige joddies are MASSIVE that they fall down when I ride :o so I'm going to have to buy some. But what colour should I go for? Beige or canary?

Here is us in the beige jods - that jacket is the one I'll be using this year. It's just a cheap green tweed.

I'm not sure canary would go with that green? Also, I showed in a white shirt this year, but think cream would look nicer. I'm going to do the classic 'yellow duster' trick with my current white shirt...but how do I make the colour run?! And how yellow should I make the shirt?

What colour tie should I use. I have a navy hat silk so I used a navy tie but now sure if it'd all go together? Especially with brown gloves and a brown show cane.

Last year I showed in brown jodphur boots because I couldn't find any leather gaitors to fit, but this year I have black joddie boots and black gaitors, am I still supposed to have brown gloves/cane if I've got black boots on?

In part bred classes, 'part-bred british native' do I have to plait Stumpers?

I think that's it for now! Good grief.

Okay I shall attempt to help as no one else is around!

Yes I would go for yellower jodhs, those are quite a bland colour you have on. I'm going to get some canary ones for this season, but stay away from the really bright yellow ones :) For the duster trick, buy the cheapest yellow dusters you can get (think tesco value) and stick one or 2 in with your shirt on a hot wash. Voila! Dyed shirt! I'm going to splash out on a caldene corn coloured shirt this year is I can, otherwise i'll be doing that!

I think a burgundy/reddish tie stands out with what you will be wearing, mine is burgundy with gold spots I think. Navy is a bit boring. It doesn't sound like it will all match but it does!

Finally, definately stick with the navy hat and brown gloves and show cane. Your gaiters will look much better than without as well :)

I have only learnt all this from my time on NR :D Good luck!

What she said :p.
I think yellower jods and a yellower shirt will tie it all in nicley. How about a green tie with a cream/gold spot, or red with a cream spot is always a good choice.
To behonest the shirt in the pics doesn;t really look the best fit around your neck, but maybe if the tie knot was a bit bigger and neater it would be ok. To solve this you can get a collar pin which will just keep it 'neat'.
You deffinatly want black boots and brown gloves/cane. Also a blue hat silk- although if you could streach to a navy hat with flesh harness it really would finish the outfit of nicley.
Just one last thing, if your doing in-hand swap the jods and boots for light coloured trousers and sensible shoes- you'll look much more profesional. :D
for ties theres loads on the following websites- will give you a few more ideas about colour combinations too :)
