Well no they are actually called Bow Balance stirrups, they are the jumping version of the Sprenger bendy safety stirrups. I splashed out & bought a pair after posting a thread here a while back, they had their first outing yesterday and they are completely fab! Definitely well worth the money (they cost £90 off eBay). I usually lose my stirrups at lease once per xc round, but yesterday the stirrups were welded to my feet! Here is the picture evidence...my right heel is the rogue one that sometimes flies up & kicks me in the bum over jumps...

Yep that's them. Don't know how they would go down for showing - the blue bits are very very bright blue - but who cares about that!

Glad to hear that. I have been contemplating a pair but didn't know anyone who had tried them. Daughter swears by her normal Sprengers.

how did the xc go?

He went clear in the 2 ft 6 for his mum & came about 15th (out of 60:eek: )

Went clear for me in the 3 ft, had a bit of trouble turning in the timed section - he'd learned the 2 ft 6 course! We came 6th. It was fab, what a buzz! Flynn really is awesome xc, if Mrs P follows in his hoofsteps I'll be laughing!

Have to say, if they'd made them a normal colour I might have gone for them instead of the bog standard Sprengers.

As it is, I love my system 4's, so maybe if I ever drop the notion of showing and dressage I'll get the funny coloured jobbies. ;)
