I know - these are from FEB!!

But a friend took these photos on her camera (they are all blurry and the flash was not inhibited - but who am I to complain)... and she only just sent them to me... from the Andrew McLean clinic 24th Feb (day 1). Considering (now I know) Garbo had the beginnings of staggers and I had the flu - not bad shots...

We are stopping like the sign says!

What do you think of the tshirt colour LD? :)

Considering this was the first time for Garbo in an indoor arena - with spectators (just about to come down the spectator side here) - he was an angel...

How was the clinic? I have one of his books and just ordered his new one.
I love your shirt:D It contrasts well with the very handsome Garbo!

I have "the truth about horses" and just ordered "horse training the Mclean way".
Am off to read your other thread. Thanks for posting the link for me:)

Hi Julia - the Truth about horses is pretty to look at but the training book is so much better - gives you exercises to practise in the arena every step of the way - let me know how you like it :)

Just read the thread you posted...great stuff!! I can't wait for my book to arrive. I really liked "the truth about horses" I like the fact that he explains the science behind the training techniques and explains the reasons why one method will work and another may not. Is he personable and interesting in person?

Yes, he is - I thought he would be really grumpy - coz he kinda looks it in the photos - but he is very gentle and kind and patient! And quite quietly spoken.

When he rode Garbo - he would always give him a pat and say good boy or good try.... even when Garbo thought the right answer to the whip tap was leap - he kept his cool completely and just kept asking until Garbo got it right - it was a huge breakthrough for us....

Sounds great!! He seems very logical and made me think of things I haven't thought off before.
