Eeeek family showing probs!

Hey peeps

Major problems with showing for my whole family (except me :confused: ). all involving my mum! we need advice!

My little sister: Big scary incident at royal show. really nervous, mum pushing her to show and ride again but she isnt ready. mum just made slimer the family pony hers and she isnt ready for it yet!

My brother: Wants to be the next Andrew Hoy, but mum hates eventing so he isnt allowed to. also, mum wont buy him a horse above 14hh and hes huge!!!

My older brother: Major amazing great camp drafter but mum makes him show and he hates it! also, hes having problems with drugs so he cant exactly show very well

my dad: has the most gorgeous grey gelding Marshall but he isnt showy enough for mum. so either my dads life long partner goes or he does!!!!!

we really need advice!

Could you all have a family meeting where you can discuss things openly and calmly?

definatly sounds like some serious talking needs to occur between all of you.

your mum needs to understand that although you all enjoy horses you all have different dreams and aspirations.

she cant live her dreams out through you lot.

im sure she just wants to do well by you all at heart, have a family meeting so you can all lay your cards on.
