sorry rache--no useful stuff from me --but good luck --i'm sure you'll be fine:)
(take your body protector just in case--you might not need it but at least you'll be prepared)

(fingers crossed for you)

Good luck Rache.

Why not ring and ask them whether they expect you to ride so that you know what clothes to take with you.

i'd take the body protector, it'll show you've thought about what you might be doing. before you ride, ask them if there's anything in particular they want you to do, and ask them what stage the horse is at. when you ride, they'll probably ask you what you thought of hte horse, so when you're on, think about it's good and bad points and what you'd do to improve it. remember to be as positive as possible when you tell them what you think - even if you think it's the worst horse you've ever ridden, say something nice about it. this is something i've picked up from nvq assessor training - only saying what's wrong with the horse gives a bad impression, and this holds true in any situation.
about the hat, it probably won't matter in the interview, but if you get taken on there, i doubt their insurance will cover employees in out of date hats, i know ours doesn't. again, it looks mmore efficient if you have the right gear, and you won't be able to compete in the old standard hat, so if i were you i'd get one.
good luck at the interview!
