Why is it, that bearing in mind his front feathers were rubbed off completely this time last year, he has twice as much feather on his front legs compared to his back legs?
I know that they are usually destroyed by the mud, but with him being in this winter they've had chance to grow back, and the front ones have grown considerably faster than his hind legs.
He also has less feather around the coronet band on his hind legs, particularly on the inside. And something I noticed this morning, he has a patch on his near hind coronet band where it looks like someone has taken scissors to the feather, although I suspect he did it when he fell on Wednesday.
Any suggestions on how to even things up? or rather, make his feathers grow faster? Extensions are not an option, I'm too lazy!
