So after being sick and being away, I finally had another driving lesson. We only put part of the gear on and then did some long reining again. I could probably spend months figuring this out. Anyway, it was fun as usual and I always feel happy for the rest of the day. I still need to work on keeping the contact when turning so the whole thing doesn't turn into a horse just wandering around the arena!!
I went through cones and a 90 degree turn in between some poles at a walk and did some circles in both directions at trot. And I also held the whip for the first time but it was not a long driving whip but just a short whip.
Oh, and it is now officially hot and humid here so running behind a horse is a lot of work.
