Allow editing of own thread titles

can this be done? i've been aware that this facility would be very useful for a while now.
To correct speeling mistakes, or if the title comes across as wrong, we can't correct our mistakes, and its quite annoying :p

Yes, I find it would be very useful, also if a topic had been covered/ question been answered then we could put [CLOSED] in the title so that mods could close it and other members knew that there was no need to reply to a thread that's really old that's been covered :)

Yes, you can already do this!

You hit the edit button like you do to fix things on the normal text, then there's a button called Go Advanced, here you can modify the title... or change it! :D

You know I just finished reading another thread, and they're right it changes when you go in the thread but from the main thread, it still appears as before... ? strange... I never realized that !!! :o

When you edit the thread title in the "Go advanced" mode it does'nt edit the actual thread title that you would see when looking through the forum.
Instead it enters the title of the thread on the first post of the thread(if you get it)
But yes,it would be a handy feature to have.

I think it'd be a fab idea :) Being the illiterate sort of person I am - I'm always making mistakes and having to go back and edit them, its just a bit unfortunate that the one thing you cant edit is the thread title :o

I've just changed mine within two seconds of pressing the submit button from adive to advice :o so glad, so it can be done, prehaps there is a time limit to it. :confused: :)
