anyone tried the supplement by NAF for itchy ponies?
only asking as smudge is rubbing himself ragged and is looking a right mess. The other boys are fine and are moulting normally but i have deloused smudge and the gang anyway.i have been rubbing baby oil into his baldy bits and sore bits are getting sudocrem on,he is quite greasy so maybe a bath may help when its warmer any advice on a good shampoo for him?
dunno if its a shetland thing as my fields pony is also rubbing but not as much as smudge is...
any other things to try?

I have just started giving it to my itchy TB, 1 week now, you give more when the fly season gets into swing and the allergies take off. PM me if you want to know how we get on:)

I have been feeding Magic Wendals Stop Itch right through winter and so far she seem fairly itch free. Last summer she had a bald ingected patchon her bum where she had rubbed herself raw and no tail onone side, this has grown back over winter and now has a lovely tail. I tried the Dodson & Hurrell Itch free but she didnt sem to goet any relief from her itchy tail un til we started using the Wendals one. Think its just a case of trail and error waht helps one may not another!!!

My shetland has cost me a fortune in new fencing this year:eek: I give him seaweed powder while he is casting & it does help. I also bathed him when it was warm a few weeks ago with a shampoo by Carr, Day & Martin called skin care. It helped also.

I tried feeding NAF D-Itch this year and started feeding it before the midges appeared, but when they did she was still itchy. It had no effect at all so was a waste of money for us unfortunately.
