Never knew they existed.
By coincidence, last weekend a non-horsey friend was fingering our dusty welsh pony and said "he needs a hoover"! Mind you, it hasn't rained here for months.
So watching this thread with interest.

ours is ancient, at least 15 years old. ithink theyr'e normally called 'grooming machines' so try looking under that name.

We used to have one of these on our yard but I found that it was more hard work than good old elbow grease with my favourite body brush and a damp tea towel

wow, that looks a piece of equipment!... the thing I am after is more like a... well, actually, I think I may be able to make do with a henry type vac... as on ebay I've just found the grooming brushes I am after, for a henry vac fitting... so I may try that option... it's just for that final polish... for the halter horses, I think you can't quite beat it... of course, there's hours of currying before, during and after... so maybe it is a waste of time  and hubbys money... but imo, I think I can see the difference between a well groomed and vacuumed coat, and a well groomed coat...my mares done super showing so far... but if I can add a little extra to her polish... can't hurt! And they are great during shedding season - thats a fact!
Thanks for all the replies!

We had a hoover like thingy too but for the life of me I can't remember who made it ! I think it was Wolseley. It looked like a car hoover and had a black and red bag on the end. Hope you find what your looking for I'll keep an eye out to :) love Clip
