No direct experience, but I livery my horse at a yard that also has an equine spa. I've seen some very nasty injuries look reasonably ok after spa treatment. Also supposed to be excellent for tendon injuries:)

My mare had several sessions last year for swelling in her leg associated with chronic lymphangitis. It certainly improved the leg. She was initially a bit suspicious of the odd looking contraption, but she very soon realised that she loved it and would nod off during her sessions :)

im lucky enough to have a spa at my livery yard. used it several times on my elderly mare who did a tendon, when they come out the legs are freezing and stay like that for a good half hour which was great for reducing the swelling. my girls sound now.
seemed to help. will be using it during the summer as a preventative measure due to concussion from hard ground.
she didnt mind the spa at all but was not too keen on the nappy they have to wear and had a little bucking fit!!
