Cut foot, how long until he can jump?

My 6 year old TB/Paint Gelding slipped off our horse float after a hunter trial and has a penetrating cut just above his coronet:eek: .. The vet came out gave him antibiotics and wrapped his foot with an elastoplast bandage.
His leg is swollen and you can feel the fluid in it. He isn't limping:) and i have been walking him up and down my road for the 2 days since it happened just to keep him a bit fit..
Any ideas how long before i would be able to start jumping him again?

I believe your vet would probably be best qualified to answer that, lol. It would be a hard call to even guess having no other info to go on. Sure hope he makes a quick and speedy recovery though, Smiles!!
