View Full Version : Indy Update. First week.

Well our little lady has been in work now for a week. Weve had ups and downs. Shes a cutie really.

Week started with long reining. she good at this wore dh out completly walking at her head.

Bath time in the car wash was harder, she showed us that she will not do what she dosnt want to do.

We tried lunging, but that was not as sucesful as the longreining, so we went back to that rather than battle.

She was turned out with another horse. no problems, its a huge 30 acre field. indy came to us when we called. good girlie.

Long reining yesterday she was a bit nappy. if you push her through it she bucks. this time with a saddle on, rather than a roller.


today. she was ridden. shes been up and down the lane. still a bit nappy, but ok. lou says shes got a good mouth.

perscription
much more long reining to get her forward, more ridden work, more fun.

in all a busy week for indy

aw she's soo pretty. good job that you are helping her with the napping. i dont know how you find the energy to do all of them!

nor do i today! lol.

but
tbh i dont work all of them every day. dani is turned out for a few days waiting to move to lous school of additional help, pinnochio was on day off. questy was fab, and lou rode indy n jenson. easy day.

I do miss her sooo much, but this is absolutely THE next best thing... :p

Wow I've obviously been busy to have missed all this (not been around much the past few weeks). What a great story - and another happy 'middle' to go with Guiness' story :D

I'm delighted as it means I can watch her progress... I'm thinking of her as a bit of an NR mascot at the moment!!! We're all rooting for her now :)

In my ideal world, if and when she gets sold on, it would be fabby if ANOTHER NR member could have her..... :rolleyes: (but I'm also a realist, so I'm enjoying the updates and piccies as they arrive for now!)
