Swelling? Urine Infection?

We found it this morning, it looks like a swelling, its quite hard. It doesn't bother her if you put your hand on and feel around it.

Is it a case of getting the vet out?

No there isn't, there's nothing there that shouldn't be there.

looks exactly like what my pony had a couple of weeks ago!

in her case it seems to have been a bite, as it reduced itself back to normal within a week.

but if youre at all worried, get the vet out.

Thanks NP, i'll see how she goes, she's still in no pain and fine to be touched.

It seems to have gone down slightly as well

Looks like she rubbed her itchy tummy on something. My itchy mare used to get edemas (I think they're called that) all the time, there and also up under her elbow. Scratched herself on bushes in the pasture.

If it was a UTI she would have problems with her urine. ie. pain, frequency, change in colour or smell.

Hi my mare has the same thing shes had it a few weeks as you say it dont bother her and she goes to the loo fine so we`ll just keep an eye on it and keep an eye on this thread,ill let you know if anything happens.by the way shes just been diagnosed with sweet itch:D
