Well i poodled along to the Royal Windsor Horse Show...first time going to watch a show ever...what have I been doing with my time you all ask yourselves and quite rightly so!...Well before i had even walked in the gates I was down £31....£7 for the car park...£8 for the 'Official guide ' which I would of hoped to have lots of shiney piccies in instead of just a few and a huge list of competitors...and then £16 to get in...definately booking ticket on line next year.

I can't believe that bearing in mind it took me 15 mins to get there that I have never been..would of been good to go with someone to drool companiably with...I won't bore you all with the details of what I watched but the highlight of the day was the shetland Grand National...very sweet..fiesty little things aren't they! Very entertaining watching the officials trying to catch the pony who really didn't want to be caught!...i also watched my RI who was competing I don't know how she got on as it started late and I had to pick up boys...

It was a grand day out I wish I could of stayed for the whole day...the shops were fab not too expensive..although I was good and didn't spend anything...you really can't justify buying the pink grooming kit when you don't actually have a pony...or the pink numah, pink bucket...you get the picture.

Anyway I just wanted to share...I did wonder whilst going round were there any other NRs in the midst...we'll have to develop a secret handshake..nudge..nudge..wink..wink..and all that....so who was there fess up!!??

Lol

I'm hoping to go Sunday but that is going to be the really wet day, aparently!

Havn't booked in advance so have the option to stay at home - no excuse, though as we are waterproofed to the hilt!

Glad you had a great day and thanks for the tip re not to buy the expensive programme!

I went to Windsor a few years ago - it is a great show. My hubby isn't into horses but thankfully he likes going to the odd big show so he went with me.

Glad you had a good time.

When I used to the the carriage compeating, Royal Windsor was my favourite show to attend! Most rememerable time was when I saw the Canadian Rockies. The horses were so well trained/behaved and they did a great display

Is anyone coming to Lowther Horse Trials/Country Fair in August?
