Was sooooo excited this morning:D .......my freeform sb arrived so did my Barnes Buckles (thanks Norm), couldn't wait to get over the yard to try them out.

Unpacked and checked saddle only to find it's a 16 1/2" seat and not the 17" that I ordered.GRRRRRRRR:mad:

I was so looking forward to getting it and now I'm really fed up:mad:

we wanted a larger seat on our freeform sb, but the seats on the sb only go up to 16 1/2 inch, they wont put a larger seat on.

Oh no! Please don't say that!!!!!!

If thats the case it will have to go back!

The agent said I could go up to a 17".

Why didn't they tell me that when I ordered a 17" seat????

I really thought I'd found the perfect saddle.

It was a 16 1/2 that I tried out and it was fine until I cantered it just wasn't quite big enough and would throw me forward in the saddle.

I had the same problem, an agent told us we could have a 17 1/2 inch seat on an sb, but when we phoned goldfinch they say we could only go up to a 16 1/2 inch, we didint buy a saddle off them, we bought one second hand, but the spare seat are over £100:eek: so were looking into getting a freemax seat from shires instead. we have ridden in the 16 1/2 inch and to be honest its fine, the pommel is a bit high, but you get used to it.

Just checked the brochure and Omnika web site (people who make them) and it clearly states that seat sizes for sb are 15" - 17"

I would phone Helen at Goldfinch and discuss it. I found her to be very helpful when I was going through the process of trying out the freeform.

First thing I did was email Helen as I always seem to get answer phone when I ring.

Have also been in touch with my local agent who has said she will do any returns for me (thank you Genene).

Just heard back from Helen.

Hi Karen

My apologies. Return the seat and I'll put one in the post as soon as it lands with a cheque for the postage.

Just a technical point, but, you shouldn't have to pay the postage for your replacement seat nor the return postage of the incorrect seat. It was an error on their part - agent, goldfinch, whoever. I would suggest that you request a refund for your postage and expect and cheque in the same package as the seat or speak to Trading Standards. You'll be paying about £12 extra for THEIR mistake.

Remmy-
Seat now on it's way back to Goldfinch.

Have to pay postage £7.75 but they will sent a cheque with replacement seat to cover it.
Hopefully will have both on Tuesday.

N0_Angel-

OK, that's good :) just wanted to make the point clear that's all - as so many retailers are quite happy for their customers to foot the cost of returns!
