Hi!

I'm (finally) about to start taking group lessons and I was wondering if there are any specific things I ought to bear in mind.

For example, I was told (several people screaming at the same time, actually) that you should never let horses come face to face. Why is that?
Any other important things?

(I'm quite nervous...)

Thanks,
Marlena.

Don't worry too much. The instuctors will know the horses involved, which ones get on together, and should tell you if you are getting too close etc. In general, when you are following other horses around in a ride you should be able to see all of the tail of the horse in front. If you can't you are probably too close.

The instructor should organise the lesson so that you are not presented with any difficult situations.

There is a page with some of the common lesson terms which might help here

Hope it goes well and you enjoy it.
