I think I might have a buyer for Frey. Nock on wood...she really is a very high Quality Ice horse with an Royal Pedigree... she could go 1st prize easliy. So crossing my fingers in a major way. She will have a good home.

Well.. someone else has a nice Ice mare for sale. Older.. as wide as I need in a pony, lots and lots of trail miles. Is happy to walk and super smooth tolt.
Totally dumb of me because I kind'a do need Frey to sell but finding what I need that will handle a handicapped rider in these parts is near impossible.
I still haven't ridden since the accident. But I do need a been there done that riding horse. One I could trust not to be totally silly.

Do plan on trying to ride Dyfra in the round pen tomorrow. Sure hubby is going to have a fit. Can't even walk all that well or for long and here I am going to try to sit on my Grey Squirrel.
Someones I wonder if I rattled something loose with that last accident??:D

So do you all think I am nuts looking for a safe horse so soon?

Here is a picture of her. Is way over weight but that is ok.

Gorgeous :) will it not be difficult to control her weight though if you are only starting back riding?

So do you all think I am nuts looking for a safe horse so soon?
Nope :)

Sounds like good news all round! how sure are you about the buyer for Frey? Also, if you need a good horse to look after you and you know this new one will, it could be an opportunity too good to miss.. can you deal with keeping Frey along with the potential new one if Frey doesn't sell immediately? if you can cope for a little bit, then yes, good horses are hard to come by especially if you need to look after yourself!

Be careful tomorrow!!!

Am about 80% sure Frey will sell. Know of the people interested in her and she would have an excellent home.

If by some small chance she doesn't sell. Then she would come home and basically sit. Until someone does buy her.

Need an older horse with lots of real miles that is a good handicapped person horse too. In Ice horses, near impossible to find. So I hope to go check her out in a couple of weeks. Then we will see if she is what the owner says she is.

Glad you all think I am not totally nuts. Guess I have the horse disease really bad and this is the only place I can come where there are folks like me.:D

Every equine I have left here..are all like her. Super easy keepers so one more would not matter. Right now they are all getting a vacations.
But I do have enough land,,they have plenty of room to run, play and blast around if they choose.
My son is doing the water buckets, vitamins and feeding of hay when needed.

What I am hoping for..is riding again even for short periods of time will help me heal better.;)
So a very safe horse is very important.

Sharin, i think your strength and determination will result in success for you.
You will ride again because you want to. You know to stack the odds toward total success. I am looking forward to seeing a pic of you on a po, smiling.:D
It doesnt seem that long ago that you hurt yourself so take it easy, take advice, you are young enough to take your time and get it right. I think the new pone looks lovely, and i there are definatly equines around that will totally look after you. What about Squirrel? And, even though you say you cannot walk well, that may not be relevant, i have seen a few disabled riders who do not walk, are virtually lifted onto the horse and yet compete in the olympics!!!
