every time i tie beauty for grooming, all she does is paw at the wall in front of her and swing her hindquarters back and forth. i can tell she isn't frightened ... probably just bored. i never leave her tied, i'm always in there with her, so it's not an attention thing ... i read somewhere that giving her some hay would distract her but she's an extremely easy keeper and all she eats is hay, so it would be like an early supper for her.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

the word "wall" jumps out at me. what if she's tied to a rail? Is there perhaps hustle and bustle/other horses that she'd like to watch.

when i went out to a school when i was on holidays i saw a young horse who was doing something like that- generaly wouldn't stand still so they gave him hay and two girls groomed him one on either side. Could work????
