With the help with my DH & DS. I got to sit on Dyfra and rode one lap around the round pen! Used the Lodgerope Enduro bridle and a bareback pad. Simple is better right now.
Would do a happy dance if I could. Dyfra was vey gentle and very careful with me. Only on her maybe 10 minutes, mostly at a stand still but I had no worries on her at all. She was loving it. She remembered the drill.. with all my horses we do lateral flexion once I get on to make sure the stearing works and get them soft..she did it all without me asking.
As much as a squirrel she can be at times..was so nice to know she can be very careful with me too.
Will be a long time before I can do real rides but it is a start!:D

Would not believe how happy Dyfra was!

Need to get a new bareback pad sooner or later. This one is 28 years old! Plan to get the Christ Special pure Fleece Bareback pad with the poly's..if one of the saddles sell.

It shows she cares that she thought - mummy's ill, so I'll be good and look after her.

Hope you have many more happy times with her :) .

Thanks everyone!!!
Yes, I do want to try it again but I have to take baby steps.
Poor Dyfra was probably thinking Mom gained weight.
I was so happy my smile glowed!:D
Took a bit to get me on and off. For such a short time out, ended up
taking a 2 hour nap!
I think it is funny..can barely walk anywhere but here I am trying to
ride! <LOL>

:d I'm so happy for you! And riding is far far more important (and fun!) than walking

Am looking forwards to seeing photos of you and Dyfra together - i.e. get some as soon as possible!

Being fairly new I just did a little search to see the background on this. You have really had a rough time haven't you. What a great post though - take it easy but I am sure that the mental boost this has given you is enormous!
