LOVE it! Will hopefully soon be upgrading my saddle to one with a classic X seat (with poleys) and plus (bigger) knee rolls. I haven't ridden in it but I sat on one at BETA and imo it will make a fabulous combination for jumping. The knee rolls are lovely and supportive and the poleys really support the thighs when in jumping position! :) I would recommend going a 1/2" seat size up from your normal though if you want to jump in it (ie my current seat is a 16" but when I order my new saddle I'll go for a 16 1/2")

I'm useless at providing links, but if you look on the goldfinch web site you will see in their photo album. Have decided to order a freeform as i honestly think its the best thing i can do for my pone. :D Just dont know whether to go for the poleys front, its a sort of raised bit so if you are riding down very very very steep hill it would support your thigh:)

No a 17.5" seat won't fit on a Short Base. Generally the recommendation is to only go up to a 16.5" seat on an SB but worth having a chat with Helen as I know of lots of other people who have a 17" seat on their SB saddle :)
You're banned from getting one in nutmeg though or you'll have my next saddle before me! ;)

Actually, i nearly ordered the nutmeg! its yummy isnt it. I have confirmed my order, sent Helen pics of me and she feels i'll have enough room in the 17 with the poleys, She's happy for me to have 17" on the SB, the only way i'll know is by trying it and i'm sure i'll find a new home for it if it doesnt suit me!, now, maybe i should go for nutmeg...........;)

Just interested to know how you are getting on with the 17" seat? I have a 17" seat on my SB, and am not finding it comfortable to ride in. I previously had a Freeform Classic, with a 17.5" seat which was fine. I am finding it hard to believe that half an inch can make such a difference, but after an hour of hacking my bum is really quite uncomfortable. :(

You haven't got it yet! How long have you been waiting for it? I presumed as your message was in May that you would have definitely have it by now!

Its 6 weeks today, which is what Helen told me, i am having a leather base, poleys and big knee rolls so its not off the peg so to speak. I'm not in a rush as have broken finger at mo, which sounds like nothing but its totally debilitating, it was my treed saddle shooting up my table topped/no withered/ narrow shouldered po that cause the problem in the first place, hence ordereing a freeform!
