I realize that some horses are just more resistant to worms than others.
The last time I wormed mine was December of 2006 and we've been keeping track of them via worm counts. None of the girls have ever come back positive. But DJ has a count of 200 (strongyles) so I am going to get him dewormer today. I guess I might as well do the girls to cover tapeworms and bots.
But what would you suggest to boost DJ's resistance?
He lives in the same environment as the mares. Diet wise they are all very similar although he gets more beet pulp than the others and he does get a little bit of rice bran.
