Hi,

Has anybody used this blacksmith for your barefoot horse?

Thanks,
Laura

I haven't, but he's on the UKNHCP approved list

http://www.uknhcp.org/locateapractioner.html

I use trimmers from this list and have been happy with the service and results.

Thanks Yann, I got his name from that list as you posted it on another thread the other day :D

He's coming out to me on Saturday, can you think of any questions I need to ask him while he is there as I will forget and think of loads when he's gone, like are hos hooves well balanced etc

Ah!:o

Why not make a list beforehand and take some notes of the replies? It's possible there might be a lot of information to take in and I'm sure it won't be a problem :)

Would be interested to hear how you get on. Good luck :)

Well just to give you an update on this! Paul came out to me at the weekend and was apsalutely brilliant.:D

He was so friendly and you could tell he really loved horses by the way he spoke and handled Prince, he gave me lots of hints and tips and no question I asked was stupid or a pain to him

So the outcome is that Prince has got good hooves, he said the indent in the frog (cant think what its called) is really good and deep and that the white line has been left to stretch as before I got him his hooves were really long but with a few more trims will be back to normal, so his hooves look fantastic, I learnt lots and Prince is happy :D
