Title says it all, how many of us are there, where are we and what kind of driving do you do?
I am a real lover of off road driving, we are lucky to have tonnes of nicely surfaced cart tracks around Castle Hedingham. I have one driving pony at the moment but am working on the others for the future and at the moment drive a two wheeler but may be in negotiations for a four wheeler soon :)

I have a drive and ride pony. She did a lot of driving before i had her apparently winning up and down country at county level.
Anyway i'm just getting her back into driving now and all seems to be going well, just got to find a half decent cheapesh harness for her as i don't like my current one.
Already got her her little cart just a two wheeler exercise cart.
Nice to know of someone else who drives in essex! I am just outside colchester at west bergholt

Ooo I'm glad I found this.
I don't drive....well was once out in a carriage and full speed canter and my instructor chucked the reins at me cause her phone was ringing
However I'm trying to find somewhere to get my mum carriage driving lessons. It's been her dream to learn for ages now! Unfortunatley my instructors horse has been pts :(
Any ideas? We're in suffolk

hi, I am just starting to break a pair of 10.2 British Native spotted ponies, I used to drive a 12 pony about twenty years ago but he had been there, done that, got the tea shirt and was an angel to break to drive - would love to learn about the local rides and drives as I don't know much about the access in this area.

Hi
I am new to the board and after finding out about Navicular for my horse, I looked for driving for my Pony and ended up here.:)
My pony is a 4yr old New Forest, born and bred on the Forest, I got her as a yearling and have broken her to drive, but we had a little whoopsie on our first outing, where she ended running off, she has had a break and now I am ready to start again. :)
I am in South Suffolk.
For those in the Sible Hedingham area, does anyone know of a welsh x New Forest called Herbie, he would be about 23 now, he did a lot of driving, I am sure the name of the people I sold him to was Teasdale, she did welsh showing and her Husband did the driving.

Hi
I'm new to this Forum but my name is Lis. We're based on Euston Estate on the Suffolk / Norfolk border. We are spoilt rotten by 20 miles of off road tracks!
I have a fantastic grey 11.1hh driving pony called Charlie. We drive him to a Fun bug at the moment.
I have recently bought a 2nd 11.1hh driving pony, a chestnut called Chocky & hope to put them together next year. Problem is they hate each other at the moment! We're trying to introduce them to each other slowly!
We just drive for pleasure with our children, not to compete.
Anybody else in this area?

LisW,
I don't drive my pony (was told when I bought him that he was broken to ride and drive) but live just down the road from Euston Estate.
Have always fancied having a go.
Wouldn't mind coming over to watch sometime:)

Have you long reined her? Would be an indicator of if she has been or not. As for the whole driving thing; I'd help if I could, but I'm clueless about driving! We keep talkign about breaking in a dartmoor mare on the yard, who logn reins over anything....but goodness knows if we will!

yup she long reins great. we often "hack out" and have a play with obstical courses ect in the school. Im a little hesitant to try anything else (like a harness or anything) as i dont have a clue what to do next!
