In the second one you could maybe push your bum towards the back of the saddle a tad but i wouldn't say it was a major problem! :)

as for your jumping position I ould suggest you aim to have
~the upper body position of pic number 1
combined with
~the arm and leg position of pic number 2

and then you will have a jumping position to rival any of the whittakers...and with fleur on your side, possible the horse too!

why ow? i ride in jeand every day, have done for a year or so. Worn joddies once for a show and felt naked!! Ive had three pairs of jeans rip in the crotch now from riding i presume :o

I know you don't sit in the saddle but you also don't stand in your stirrups! a good jumping seat is achieved with your lower leg and inner thigh. Standing in your stirrups is the easy way out and also unstable if the horse decides to stop.

I don't think there's much wrong with your legs, they look in a great position in the second pic. You don't want them far back, that's a habit most riders struggle to break! It's much more secure if you have your leg byt the girth. Well done, you're looking good! :D

That would confuse me way too much! I already mix you two up, I have no idea why, it can't be because you both have chestnut mares, because they are totally different! Maybe its because you both have 3 words in your names lol.

Anyway great photos PGG, I really like your upper body in the first pic, and legs in the second pic :) And you're looking up! (I have no idea what I look like jumping!) Fleur is a very gorgeous girlie and I love her jump :)

Taking them into account. The top of the blocks is 3ft(90cm) and we were using really thick poles so about 2ft9(85cm).

Jeans are ace to ride in. They're much cooler and I can wear low rise ones too, cant get away with high waist joddies!
