Well for only a few months riding thats not bad going, esp the no stirrup work you were telling us about. That looks a fair size horse so I am guessing he is a bit bouncy.
The canter shot looks smashing
I am not going to criticse. I daren't the state of me at the mo ;) :D :o

he tends to pull his head up abit, it might be worth trying to soften him and get him on the bit abit more :) you look good though

Brilliant girlie if you consider you've only been riding a few months.

I'm no expert but with your position everything looks like it is coming along nicely.

One area to improve would be your back. It looks a little hollow at times - tilt your pelvis forwards (thrust) and suck your tummy in to flatten the back and to get onto your seat bones :)

Horsey looks a little uncomfortable - is he a riding school horse?

Lots of numnahs (at least two by the looks of things - not sure if saddle is too far forwards or it is just the numnahs?

she's a riding school horse! she's getting on a bit apparently, and she's recently been off work with a bad leg, so i don't know if that accounts for the uncomfortable look.
thanks for your comments...keep em coming! :D

is the horse speedy?

as someone else picked up, you are quite hollow in your back, pull your bum under you more and imagine someone pulling your head up with a bit of string to straighten out your spine.

for the amount of time you've been riding, your position is good. you do tip forwards which will encourage the horse to be more forward going. relax through your shoulders and let your arms hang, then bend at the elbow to take the reins.

you need to bring your leg back from the hips a bit, although it look quite secure your leg is quite forward which is why you are leaning forwards, to stay in balance. the no stirrups work will have helped.

Hope that helps :) well done for your progress so far :)
