Fungus & microbes will cause problems like ringworm, mud fever and some respiratory problems.

Endoparasites live inside the horse e.g. worms and can cause all sorts of problems. Colic, diarrhoea, anaemnia, bronchitis, pneumonia, haemorrhage can all be caused by worms.

Ectoparasites live on rather than in the horse e.g.lice, ticks, mites. Lyme disease and mange are caused by ectoparasites (sorry I can't think of a third one)

Tetanus; strangles; botulism; brucellosis; sleepy foal disease; leptospirosis are caused by bacteria.

Hope this helps.
