Hey everyone!

Do any of you have any tips on how to strengthen the inside leg?

As recently, i've found that my inside leg has not been as effective as it has been previously when riding bends and needing to push the horse i'm riding over etc.

So any tips greatly appreciated! xxx :D

not sure how to really strengthen it, lots of riding, try doing some leg yields maybe as this will mean you'l have to push with your leg more.

I've got a good one that my physio showed me :)

sit on a dining room/kitchen chair but facing it the wrong way. Tie a belt or similar around your knees - tight enough to keep the belt in place but not so tight that you can't move.

Put your feet right against the feet of the chair & then press your knees out against the belt.

The pressure helps to strengthen the inside of your legs - try to keep in the same sort of position you would be in if you were in the saddle - you might need to sit on a few cushions on top of the chair to keep your leg long enough

Posting without stirrups! It's really hard, and I hate it, but I have noticed results very quickly from it.

By 'posting' do you mean riding in a light seat? i.e. bum out of saddle? xxx

What I call "posting", I think is called "rising" in the UK? It's the forward and back movement you do when trotting. That's a really bad explanation, but hopefully you know what I mean!

posting, aka rising trot. yep LMayhewtx.

Lolo-b: have you done standing in the stirrups in trot? not actually light seat up standing up- really helps balance too.
