NB: in the lesson we were supposed to be yeilding left & right through the poles on the ground. The video is in the next post!

hi, i think the pics look good and you have a good position.
in the last pic your left shoulder has dropped and your hand as curled. also, when you are yeilding you are really leaning with your upper body so try and push with your leg more and shift the weight from your bum not your upper body.
well done!:)

In the yeilding pictures you've collapsed at the hip. Instead of thinking about putting extra weight in your seat bone try thinking of just stepping into that stirrup a little more.....this helps to prevent the collapsing and makes it easier for the horse to step across and remain straight.
Generally though your position is good but watch that you don't lean over to compensate the horse falling in like you are on the last picture. If the horse does that then either use more inside leg to move him/her over or if (s)he just leans on the leg then just make it totally passive so that (s)he doesn't lean on you.
It's easier said than done (and I know as I had the same problems) but little things like that will make a world of difference.

a good way to correct your position (and get the weight into your bum, as someone put it..) is to ride without stirrups... this will deepen your seat and help with balance. If you're not sure about going without stirrups, lengthen your stirrups so you can still use them, but you have to grow taller and reach into them. DO NOT do this on a spooky horse!
