Question in the title! Just wondering as i'm looking for a new farrier at the moment, and trying to compare prices. Also if anyone can recommend a farrier in the south bucks/oxon area. Thanks :)

£50 for fronts and trim hinds. Although one of the fronts is a bar shoe which I understand are expensive. Sorry not in Bucks area.

Thanks, he wears his hinds down fairly nicely himself so our current farrier doesn't have to do a great deal with them.

Think it was about £25 but that was 2 years ago. I don't use a farrier now :)

£26 for fronts only. Backs very rarely need trimming just a little rasp to make them look pretty....:)

Mine seems very high, in comparison to the rest of you. I think I might be questioning the price next time he comes out. Maybe its because of the bar shoe.

It was £15 when he was barefoot as I understand it from the previous owner. Then he put his price up to £20, just after I had him. But he also put his price up to the other barefoot person in the yard, so it wasn't just me. I believe to have a full set went from £55 to £60.

I'm dreading the next time as I was thinking about having a back set. I'm doing more work than the previous owner, and the farrier said it might be adviseable to have backs. But at what cost I'm asking myself?

Unfortunatly there are rising costs in metal supplies which explain why prices have risen this year :)

Got one booked for July. It's £35 for fronts and back trims.

Not as high as mine. £78 for a full set including road nails at the back

Much better than JOy's previous farrier though. She goes better and treats Joy how I exoect her to be treated.
