Any advice or tips? One of my ponies had only fronts when i bought him however due to lots of road work i popped a full set on, however im moving yards and road work will not be an issue as theres a menage and off road hacking. His feet seem strong/hard, not cracked etc He has only been shod all round for 4mths. My other pony has always been shod all round, so im guessing a slightly harder task to make her move comfy etc Should i be investing in some Keretex Hoof Hardener &/or boots or are these not always necessary?
Any tips, any reasons why i shouldnt risk having only fronts on and any recommendations to make my ponies more comfy welcome:confused:

I'd try without first (and I don't like Keratex as it damages the horn in the long term). Backs are usually easier to transition than fronts anyway so as long as you have regular, good trims you probably won't have any problems.

It's a pre-requisite at our yard that backs are removed until he 'kick risk' is assessed. Saff didn't even seem to notice the difference so I left them off, shortly followed by the fronts :)
