Hello All. I promised pics as soon as I could get them... (sony and kodak were battling it out..kodak won) Finally got them on the pc. I am only learning about the new digital camera, I am not the best photog. :confused:
But here are the first pics.. The buckskin is my Cookie and the Sorrel QH (saddled) is my husbands "Red".(the one w/the good genes) He is really pretty but already proving to be a handfull. He is a gelding that fancies himself a stallion. (I really want to make a joke here, but I won't) Apparently he has been after all the mares :rolleyes:and has been kicked into the fence a few times. He is all scratched up..
We found 6.5 acres and will be signing the papers this week sometime and it will be ours! Then the work begins, we will be building a new home where we can all be together (the horses and their staff) Staff, that's me:) But the fence and barn come first. It's a nice quiet place. We will be a mini-farm I think is what the neighborhood calls it. there's a creek on the property tat the horses can get to. I'm getting excited but not looking forward to all the building. (my husband just walks around the horses saying "money pit" under his breath all the time.) Try as he might, he loves them though.
I am touring a facility closeby this week to take riding lessons. The owner comes very highly recommended and has a waiting list for training. We will see. Have a good weekend everyone. I will try and take better pics next week, but tell me (really) what you think. I really want to know.
