Does anyone have any longterm experience of Farrier's Formula? I moved my horse this winter and his feet suffered. On the advice of the farrier I put him on FF in the spring and it seems to be making a difference to the new hoof growth. Does this improvement usually continue or is it a short term? Also does anyone have any suggestions as to where to get Farrier's Formula at a reasonable price? I paid about £25 for a 5Kg refill - does this sound about right or should I be looking elsewhere?
Many thanks:)

it's long term - it takes 9-12 months for a whole new, healthier, hoof to grow thorugh and the daily addition of extra beneficial nutrients helps to maintain this.
so definately carry on with it! i'm glad you're seeing good results. :-)

Yes it's made a huge difference to my horse's feet - used to pull shoes off regularly, along with huge chunks of hoof wall. Between Farrier's formula and a good farrier, it's been months since he lost a shoe (touch wood!) and his feet look loads better.
Price seems about right - I get 10kg at a time from http://www.supplementsolutions.co.uk/shop/ .

You should see a difference in the coat and general wellbeing too. Additionally, I found that as overall health got better, I could also reduce the hard feed.

yes - biotin and other essential micronutrients which help hoof growth also help to improve coa and hair quality too!:-)
