Hi ive noticed that the (back) panels on my ponies saddle are no longer lying flat to his back and are lifting slightly both sides? I cant see it pinching anyway, maybe it needs re-flocking? Im going to try and get some picys later but does anyone have any idea what this could be?

I have this same problem with my Wintec VSD. I have seen it mentioned on NR that Wintecs tend to have banana shaped trees.

My mare has muscled up and changed shape a lot since I got her so I am having the saddler come out on Monday. If the saddle can be altered I'll have that done if not I'll fork out for a well fitting saddle :)

Hope you get your saddle issue sorted soon before it causes any problems :)

Does anyone know of any good saddle fitters in the Northampton area, and also how much is it for call out etc?
I will get both ponies checked over best to be safe than sorry.
& in repsonse to the wintec saddle info, the saddle im having trouble with is an english leather Gp saddle - not sure what make etc Does anyone have any more ideas of what i should/could be looking for in the meantime to make sure hes as comfy as poss?

You could try tower farm but they dont do alterations, plus I wasnt very impressed at the way they fitted my friends saddle....she wasnt even at the yard when it was done so no one even sat on the pony to make sure it was ok and it wasnt! Not sure who else you could try tho!

If the panels are lifting at the back , chances are it's too wide for the horse.

Daffy's was two narrow and did that, but then I think it was digging in a tad when I noticed it.
