Deep Seat - Secure Seat - Independent Seat

What's the difference between these? What should a New Rider strive for first?

I will try but this is from an English viewpoint so I hope it is the same!

First comes the secure seat, self explanatory able to stay securely and comfortable on the horse at all paces and through minor spooks.

Next independent seat, position not affected by use of hands or legs and not relying on reins/legs for maintaining position.

Last to achieve normally a deep seat which comes from practice particularly without stirrups and lengthening ligaments and muscles to 'wrap' around the horse.
