herbal calmers

hi
iv got a 15.1 appaloosa mare called spots,shes 7 years old.she can be extremely strong and gets worked up easily.recently she got so scared and worried when we were at a show she jumped ou the collecting ring over a 5\\"3 hedge.she jumped this cus its the only thing she nows to do it sher flight and run instinct!is there any calmers herbal that i can use on a daily basis or before shows to take the top of her nerves so she relaxes and doesnt feel like shes going to run off!shes alright once iv started warming up,but when i get her off the trailer she can eb mental and i dnt want to put myself in that posistion or any1 else.
im nto changing my bit as shes very haqrd ot bit shes currenty ridden in a ditchgag for jumping and flatrwork shes in a baucher!
pls help cus shes an amazing horse who needs to chill and then hopefully i can get her out and affikiated in eventing as shes has the most amazing potential
any help would be sooo helpful

try wendalls calmer, it seems to make a difference to my mad horse, it looks wonderful full of flower heads and stalks and it smells very potent:D

Try settleeze (think thats how you spell it) Herbal calmer for long term use, RS uses it on the stallys, makes a massive difference :)

Try Tempralax. Never used it myself, but a lady on our yard who took a novice m&m to lead rein success at HOYS swore by it.

I can really recommend Cool Calm and Collected by Equifeast, I've had amazing results with my very nervous boy, we are hacking out so calmly alone, no jogging and no panic attacks, in 6 short weeks the change has been miraculous!

I also have a appaloosa with a similar outlook on life!

I manage him every day fine and is pretty chilled at home most of the time but can get difficult in new situations. I tried full time calmers e.g ones you feed continously,but having decide he didnt need an every day calmer I now use global herbs 'supercalm instant'. I have found it makes a definite difference and seems to allow him to think and behave rather than just react.

I just feed it in th morning a couple of hours before I need it to kick in.

I paid about £12 for 5 satchets and for occasional use not to expensive.

My friend uses Topspec calmer which is brill on her horse, but mine it fab on Magic. Trial and error I'm afraid - I tried three before the Magic. They all cost about £25 give or take. Good Luck

NAFF Magcalm - they say that it is the magnesium that makes a difference and this brand smells quite nice too and I have had good results

I've tried Settleeze - I think it helped when storm moved home, she could have been a lot worse!!! The instant calmer sachets from Global herbs are really good, I gave our pair one each when we moved them on the morning - they loaded up no problem!

I didn't find it much use to be honest, I gave one to H before we hacked out as he gets a bit stressed, but he still got himself stressed out, so decided not to buy anymore, shame really as I love Global Herbs normally:o

Global herbs told me their turn out calmer was the strongest, its for horses who've been on box rest. Not used that one myself. Tried allsorts with mine, Magic,Nupafeed, Tempralax but not for affil as it contains valerian. Now got her the best she's ever been on a combination of Global herbs Frisky mare plus and a calcium plus magnesium supplement thats for cows! Cheap as chips and most effective.
