Attempted my first session of polework ever after some tips from Nik-n-Kia. Also managed a jump, which although was only 1ft, isnt too bad for someone who has never jumped before. I know the quality of the video is not good, but took it via mobile. Also took a photo and want to know if my leg is too far back. Have a funny feeling it is. Apologies for the quality so understand if you cant make anything out. Have had to post link to video as I cant post it right. Its only 3 seconds though lol

If they're meant to be trotting poles, they are too far apart, look ok for canter poles though, though I suspect this is too advanced for someone learning to jump... Your lower leg looks fine, but it's quite a distance shot..

You could practise your jumping position as you go over the poles.

It isnt the best photo, I thought my mum had used the zoom function, but obviously not lol.

We did try cantering over them and that went fine :)

Just trying different things with Tyler at the moment. Nothing too extreme lol, just wanted to see how he went with polework and he wasn absolutely fine. Nikki is riding him on Wednesday night to get him using those skills that I just can't get him using.

Will try to get some better photos up lol. I look like a midget in those shots.
