Did email you at Eclipse, but realise from other posts you were probably away. Also figure from posts it's unlikely you'll be out my way in the forseeable future, so will order your book. Have another question if/when you have time. Where and how can I obtain your seatbone saver saddle pad? Have found nothing similar here in Australia and am in desperate need! I'm no youngster and am getting back in the saddle after 20+ years (lost my nerve after a serious accident.) Muscle tone these days is not what it used to be and have discovered I'm much bonier than I thought. From the discomfort I figured I'd forgotten everything and was sitting in the wrong position, so shortened stirrups to help push me backwards - only to become so unbalanced it was nerve wracking. Have a beautiful four-hoofed friend - a natural born dancer who is being wasted. Feel a deep need to get back to riding for his sake and mine (despite residual fear), but presently too uncomfortable to sit in correct position for more than a few minutes at a time. Hope you can help.
Mike, sorry so long - leave it to you to edit.

HI Poppy,
Have received your email, and am just trying to catch up on the backlog cause by being away for a week! I can send you a Seatbone Saver, which I now have in stock- manufacturers couldn't keep up with the demand!- the Americans loved them at Equitana, and depleted stocks still further, also demanding one to fit Western saddles!
Poor Mike has been waiting weeks for his!
Email me again privately for price and details- Mike is going to be doing a page for me so that New Rider members can buy them easily.
All the best, Heather

I have a similar problem with my western saddle which is most uncomfortable. I've seen seat savers in StateLine Tack's catalog (from the states). I haven't tried them yet but definitely plan to. The cost is approx. $20-30. I'm considering making one myself.

We are just in the process of designing a Seatbone Saver for Western Saddles. Mine are made from a special foam invented by NASA for use in astronauts seats to withstand the G forces of lift off. It moulds to your shape but doesn't spring back, and is unbelievably comfortable. I had so many requests at the Equitana in Kentucky for one for Western saddles, that I thought I had better do something about it! I will keep you all posted as to when it is ready!

Dear Heather
Glad you had a good time at the Equina and also hope you managed to have a break in Florida! Could you let me know how much a Seat Saver costs, as I would be very interested.
Love
Gail

I've just added a page to make the ordering of Heather's seatbone saver easier. As well as some pictures to give you a better idea what it looks like there is a page you can print out, fill in, and send to Heather to order one.
