Helmet Shopping

I like the Charles Owen GR8 helmet, and the Charles Owen Hampton, but had no idea how expensive they are :eek::eek:. I live in Canada,so the averag price here for the GR8, is $350. I have found a helmet that is a copy of the GR8, called the IRH XR9. Is it tacky to have a copy of the helmet? Its only around 200, or should i stick with the hampton which is around the same price? I am not competing in anything big, and I have a schooling helmet which i will continue to use. I just want a helmet that will look good in the hunter or jumper arena, as mine is scratched up and very abused:p
I am very lost in the area of helmet shopping so PLEASE HELP ME!:o

Is the XR9 nice enough? and is the Pro Rider classyenough to use in a show ring? is the GR8 worth all the money? Is the hampton helmet as good as the GR8?

Go for the one that fits you properly, as you should with any hat you are looking for. Fit is more important than looks if you are serious about your sport.
