im thinking about doing it seeing as they are running a course thing at my RS
what exactly is involved?
does it cost much?

I think it's cheaper than normal BHS exams but most of the time you do you're test somewhere different to where you did your training as it has to be an exam centre thing, I travelled about 2 hours to do my exams:) And the road saftey training is usually quite short compared to the rest.

Sorry i'm a bit late in replying to this, especially if you've started the training already so you can ignore my waffle!
My training cost £80 and the test was £40 for non-members of BHS. If you're a BHS member it costs less for the test. We didn't have to travel as my RS is a registered test centre for Road Safety. The whole test took less than 3 hours and there were about 10 people in our group. Definitely worth doing!!
The training involves theory and practising in the menage on a pretend road route with various obstacles. We only were allowed to walk the road route until the day of the test. The theory is just 10 multiple choice questions. I found the practice test the hardest, riding on the road seemed easier as it was real :) Good luck!
