These are already in the cafe area, but I would be grateful if someone could give me some pointers on what I'm doing wrong!

1. The heels are getting better, this was the first jumping session I didn't loose a stirup!

2. I have been real problems with my position, do you think I need to put my hands further forward? It's hard trying to stay in the position like the first one as he uses his back and it pushes me out of the saddle.

3. The last pic I have made my mum is going to get framed to go up at their house and is doing me a copy, I nearly look like I know what I'm doing!

Thanks for the help, I am dragging my sister up there at the weekend to be my photographer!!!

You look good to me!
you just needto get you lower leg more forward and more weight into your heels when u jump and it will make you more secure on landing, expecially if going cross country.
and maybe givewith your handmore, but you aint effecting the horse sodoesn'treally matter

but looking good!!

Like the others have said you need to get your weight in your lower leg, once you do this you will likly find that your whole postion will change and become much more stable :) In all three photos to me it looks like you are holding on with you knees, and that is causing the instable lower leg! But other then that your look great! I think your release is okay and you have your eyes up and looking ahead! Keep up the good work!

You look really nice :DI would agree that you need to keep practicing pushing your heels down more. It also looks like you are a little too far forward over the horses shoulder (very slightley) which could put the off jumping incase they hit you, so you need to push your bum further into the back of the saddle!!!:)

Ha ha, nothing could put him off jumping, he loves it, much better than the 'boring' dressage I make him do!

But I will remember that, will spend this evening in 2 point with bum out and weight in heels.

Not sure about the gripping with Knees part, it's something that I don't do as I find it makes my ankles stick out , but then again a jump is different, I may well tense up.

What do we think about stirup length? They are 2 up from my usual

You look good to me. : ) The only thing is keep your heels down and keep your legs wrapped around the horse for more security in the landing and put your weight in your lower legs. Im soo jealous of your realease. lol :p

haven't read all the comments. all i can say is i think you need to your hands slightly lower. That will give you the line from elbow-hand-horse's mouth. when you start jumping instructor's tell you to put your hands to the ears to get you to give the reins. as jumps get bigger you can end up pulling on the horses mouth so the idea is that instead of going to the ears you go to the mouth resulting in you having your hands lower when you give the reins.
and as others have said... heels down. you are slightly ahead of your leg but you already know about that. the last pic is really good.

Coss, that makes good sense, hands to mouth, I am better than before, until a few months ago I just used to fold and sort of compress my body together, NOT GOOD.
