The more you ride the more advanced you become, you start asking for harder things so it goes without saying thy start trying it on abit, I ride horses from just broken to now I have a grand prix mare, you would think the GP was easier but no way shes not!! Often the horses at 1st and 2nd are the easiest. My 4th level horse can be very tricky, I was ready to sell him until my trainer said, "hes easy because he over reacts, thts the kind of horse you want to train, You just need to learn to channel his energies. And she was right. You just need someone to show you how. You cant expect to get better and it not get harder.

that is a positive response;-)
the good thing is if the horse does something funky (like....one needed to lick her leg in the middle of trot  ,so I have finished on the side of the horse)
I really do not panic. And my teacher...has sense of humor...like:"good you stayed on the horse, it looked really bad":p
