What Should I Do?

I've attached a picture and sorry I couldn't make it bigger :(. The red squar is the space I have to make my own x-country course :D. It's good footing, it's a little hard and theres an irrigation ditch not even a foot wide at the bottom of the picture. So I wanted to ask what should I put out there? I would like to try and get some logs to put out there. I was thinking about a ditch but we will also let the horses have free run back there and i'm a little worried they could get hurt if they are playing and maybe don't noticed the ditch. I'm not planing on competeing in xcountry but I would like to let the horses jump more than just int he ring. I'm getting bored myself LOL, ok so my main question is should I even make a course? if so please tell me what kindof jumps I should make :D. SORRY ignor the pic below I messed up :P

I think a ditch would be fine - I can't imagine them getting hurt on it.... horses are really designed to notice terrain. Logs if you can gte them - their really awkward to haul around - and then they're permanent, so it makes it awkward to mow/top around. If you have any changes of level a step-up / step-down is really useful. Aside from that I'm just cutting big poles and using regular jump standards so that I can change things about when I feel like it - I figure it's more the galloping long lines that I can traim for rather than any particular style of jump. Of course, I take any opportunity I can get to use brush or anything natural I can get at. Do you have a creek at all ? Great opportunities for jumps into and out of banks of a creek - though you do have to check the footing all the time.

Hey! sorry this took so long, I don't have a river in the back but I live near a river :D. I REALLY would like to get some logs but I'm not sure how well that will go. I'd also love to make a step up & down and I'm thinking I might be able to use some dirt from the ditch to try and build one up? It might not work because there wont be a HUGE ditch but we'll see :D.

If you do a google image search on x-country or something theres lots of pics that you can copy or use as an idea for a jump. Thats waht I did! xD
