Tonight in my lesson, which is with another rider, we practiced a pas de deux! We did everything together and did a fairly good job but it was really fun. We went in between poles with one passing right behind the other (forgot what she called that) and then went up the center and circled opposite ways, crossed in the middle, met at the other end and went up the middle and stopped at X. We also did circles (heehee well sort of) but it was harder to stay together because we are not that good at keeping the pace we want. We did it all at posting trot.

Oh, I am loving my lessons. I was able to get my horse round and light some of the time which is a big improvement in the last few weeks. Of course he is a well-trained dressage horse. XXX

It was fun - we had never done anything like that before in a lesson although we have only had about 3 lessons to gether so far.

That sounds like fun! Who is your co-rider?

I have done drill riding and it is great fun - it was ages ago, but I love it! I have never done it with just two but I bet that is even more fun....

My co-rider is a friend that I met on a trail ride. We had a good ride and then found out that we are in the same profession (well, not me anymore) and she started taking lessons at my barn with this instructor earlier this year while I was still with Hunni's owner. I'd say we are pretty evenly matched at our skill level so we can do the same things in our lessons.
