dont know how many of you will rember, but a while ago I posted about having to semi retire B as he had been being really lathargic and not wanting to go and not at all himself. And I got him checked out by vet and everything came back fine.
Well.... it looks like it was a little bug!! (I think by the time the vet came to check B - two weeks after the lethargy started - the bug was out of B's system) Two horses on the yard (one only 3 the other about 15 I think) have been acting in the same way! Lathargic, not wanting to go, not themselves.
So I am delighted! (obviosuly not delighted that these two horses arnt well!) Going to take things as they come with B... build back up slowly and see how he goes, but it looks like its not time for the old codger yet!
Also been given some tips from the back man about things to do to help his stiff backlegs, so will be interesting to see how much of a diffrence that makes. (back man loved B... said he was a 'cracking little pony'!:D
and after speaking to a behaviourist who came out to give a talk at camp... she said its obvious that me and B have a lovely relationship and bond! (she gave us a list and asked if any of it seemed familure to us regarding our horses... all the bits the seemed familure to me were the things that means B see me as his mummy! But that sometimes he likes to be my mummy! As we swop some of the things about, like sometimes he'll stick his head under my arm pit (me being the mummy) and somes times he'll rest his head on my shoulder (him being the mummy) She thought it was very sweet and showed a good relationship and bond! I took from it that it means we are friends as suposed to one of us being the dominant one)
