Here in the North East of England in my area there is little room except on the road to drive. I was wondering if any drivers if they wanted to do driving trials and had no where to practice the obstacles, if they would hire a driving trial obstacle course if there was one available?

There's a chap at Wooller (SP?) who claims to teach DT.

I have done in the past , David Broomes place near Chepstow - he is into driving trials now and we belong to the same club and in the same classes  (James has been for quite some time now and is an indoors champ so well above us !!!!!). Although the emphasis at his place is showjumping - wonder why  - there is a lovely marathon course incoprorated.
I don't think it would make anyone a living hiring out a specialised driving facitilty, but with a bit of imagination you could incorporate driving suitable obstacles into a x country course. Theres a place near Worcester that has done this and for a combined event I surveyed it :)

Thanks Tazzle thought of that although a cross country course was mentioned I could not see how to do that in one field :D I'd also be interested in how you surveyed it. Could you Pm me please

There are some places in your area if you are stuck... probably more than I know about because it has been a long time since I was there.
Anyway,
I think Pat Cooper has permanant hazards/obsticlea at Eask Kesick and Eskrick has them too. North East Driving Trials Club would be the people to ask for up to date information. They run training days too. Pat Cooper also does lessons on hazard driving at her place.
Many club members have their own set ups and are happy to have visitors.

I've spoke to Pat in the past. She is a really nice person.
Training days are held outside of York. Too far for me to travel when I have to rely on hiring something to get us there
