picnic ride around the Pentlands

since we discussed this on my hacking post i thought i would pop it in here:D

need to wait till Kia is well enough & up for it but we have all year hacking around the Pentlands so it doesnt matter when:D

who would be up for it?

i would go but i have to be careful with what horses Kaiser goes out with just now until he gets a bit braver and we have tested out the brakes. cant have any tanking off as kaiser will no doubt just follow with me hanging off the back!! lol lol lol

But maybe next time :D

I'm in control jenni - just don't want the same happening to me until i can guarantee i can control voltan no matter what so to say. Used to be able to take chinook anywhere and he wouldn't bat an eyelid at what other horses where doing even if they tanked off. Don't know voltan that well yet.

Saying that when going to the field others have tanked off or ran up and down near us and he has been polite and stayed with me until i let him off and even polite when taking headcollar off :)

I'd be after walk and trot for the first time to get to know the place etc :)

If anyone has a ponio that needs riding I would ride it if we get impatient!!!

kia will hopefully be ablt to be ridden by the end of aug to middle of september so anytime after that would be fine!!

Either that or I would do the picnic bringing thing if he wasnt!!

I'll bring my lot up. Could I get two nights livery up at yours Fizz? They'd need to be ridden up the day before, over the hills, then ridden home the day after (unless someone is willing to come and drive us and the horse trailer up..........)

And can we wait until after the 15th pretty please?

Pink and Kalli are both fabulous hacking and definintly going to bugger off at high speeds.

it will be now two months of boxrest nearly!!! then a back massage and reintroduction to a saddle lol!!!

If you disappear into the horizon Kia and I will be right behind you heehee!!!

PS Kia is a good lead horse if anyone wants to stick your nag up his butt!!! We use him for stopping tyler and at the rideouts when he was behaving himself we went haring off after loose horses!!!

Walk and trot we can do just not convinced we will have any brakes! Will see how she is going by then she is still very green and babyish just now! Mind you if this horse ever arrives from france and is the one in the advert he might be a safer choice!

Might take up the offer of kias butt but Im not sure how he will cope with a highland coo shaped cob up his bottom!
