I know we have the existing pages in various sections - but I think in call cases the comment section has been disabled. And I think many are now quite old and not much has been added ?
So instead we have a whole load of knowledge building up in the forum and archives. If we had a wiki, we could build up the knowledge there ?

good idea, a lot of the research groups here use wiki's to share their information between group members.

Sounds a great idea - I often spend ages searching old posts and not getting exactly what I'm looking for, and also sometimes getting two or three slightly different stories. A wiki would be helpful...

Prob because you spelt it w-o-t!
As there are people on here whose first language isn't english, it's hard for them to understand so 'text' language is blocked, I've done it many a time without realising! :)

a wiki is an approach to storing knowledge which allows many people to contribute.
The most "famous" wiki is wikipedia. Its like an online encyclopedia but instead of having a dedicated team who are employed to update it (which limits what can be covered), *anyone* can contribute.
Of course there is the risk that people contribute rubbish or dodgy content - but the history for each area is kept and you can challenge or rollback changes.
